Consultant Biographies

Christen is a Managing Partner and as of 2009 has been responsible for establishing Neumann Partners in the Nordic countries. Apart from handling the interests of his client portfolio, Christen is Head of the Global Board Services, Global Competence Centres and Member of the Executive Committee.

With an emphasis on the Nordic market, Christen specializes in executive search and board services within private equity, consumer/FMCG, public sector, health care & life science and industry & production.

Christen has had more than 20 years of experience within the executive search industry working with some of the major global firms; he spent 7 years as a Managing Partner and Senior Partner at Heidrick & Struggles, a listed global executive search company and was responsible for establishing the company in Denmark.

Christen was Senior Partner and co-owner of J. Friisberg & Partners, a European executive search company, and Co-founder of IIC Partners from 1986 until 1999. He started his consulting career with Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Before moving to consultancy Christen had held two CFO positions with major Danish companies.

Christen holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Administration, Management and Organisation from Copenhagen Business School. He is fluent in Danish, Swedish and English.
